Tubeset for SUHR BADGER 18

 

In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT-7025 TAD REDBASE 7025/E83CC HIGHGRADE which is outstanding because of its high gain, but low microphony, powerful middles and a round, rich overtone sound. Played clean, the TAD REDBASE 7025/E83CC delivers a warm liquid tone which is very responsive to dynamic playing.

 

The preamp position (V2) use our RT003 ECC83-Cz TAD Premium Selected. This tube delivers very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response. Best for clean tones, as well as for sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.

 

In V3, we recommend our RT-12AX7 TAD REDBASE 12AX7/ECC83 Premium Selected for a well-defined and tight Bass, dynamic, vocal mids and open and detailed highs.

 

For the power tubes, we chose a matched pair of our RT272 TAD-EL84-Cz Premium Matched with high-class cathode coating, plate options and gold grid wire, and therefore overall reliability. The sound is very harmonic in the middle and treble frequencies, without adding too much power to the bass. The result is the best EL84 in current production.

 

Use our NOS-like RT503 5Y3GT / 6087 TAD PREMIUM SELECTED as rectifier tube.

 

No Rebiasing is needed since the amp runs on Class A cathode biased mode.
